Winter is not quite the time to run outside and do some quick weekend landscaping or trying to redesign your deck and patio. But the winter weather makes me antsy and after recently moving into a new home, I like to do little weekend projects to occupy my time and make my new house feel like a home. So I looked around and tried to find a space that needed some development and my eyes fell upon the kitchen closet. It's designed to be a pantry but instead, the previous tenants took out the shelves and put in coat hooks, thus making it more of a closet.
When we moved in, the space seemed like a good place to put things we wanted on-hand but not in the way, so it became more of a "junk closet," holding a grill, old grocery bags, a mop, a broom etc. So in a fit of productivity, I found this article from Better Homes and Gardens about adding shelves and making the space a real closet.
