The Reilly Painting Blog is introducing a new section to be posted Wednesday and Friday night. Be sure to check back in on our blog for tips, suggestions and advice for your date nights. Date nights started 25 years ago, when Mike Reilly, CEO of Reilly Painting, heard the suggestion from a customer on an estimate. Taking one or maybe even two days out of the week, and taking your significant other out to dinner, to a movie, even for a walk. Here are some tips on restaurants, movie ideas and other things that may make for a great date night.
Planning:
Talk to your significant other and set a day for you to go out. I suggest Wednesday or Thursday; you need a break during the work week, and maybe escaping to a movie or a great restaurant is just what you need to get through the rest of the week.
There are plenty of great apps that makes it easy to plan your night according to what you're doing. The Movie Night Out App plans your night according to the time and location of your movie. Download it! It's free!
Where to eat:
This is totally up to you, but if you're feeling stuck on a decision, going to a sites like Yelp or Urbanspoon where you can narrow your searches down, might be just what you need to find the best spot. Here are some great restaurant ideas to get you started:
Movies:
There are plenty of great movies playing now, and I'm sure escaping to a movie before dinner is just what you need to relax and rewind. Visiting a site like Fandango, where you can find movie reviews and times for all theaters in your area makes finding a movie very easy. Some great movies playing now:
- Midnight In Paris (Dir by Woody Allen)
- Drive (Starring Ryan Gosling)
- Moneyball (Brad Pitt)
- The Debt (Helen Mirren)
Museums & Concerts
Now I know you won't be seeing a movie every week, so here are some other ideas.
- Cleveland Institute of Music: Click on the link for their schedule. The CIM has plenty of great concerts and sometimes free recitals, and is conveniently close to great restaurants like L'Albatros.
- Cleveland Orchestra: Enjoy amazing classical music with the Orchestra. The Severance Hall seasons begins with Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Boléro, and more!
- Cleveland Museum of Art: Peruse spectacular exhibits, take a night class together, listen to concerts and watch films at the new art museum.
