Tonight, November 23, can sometimes be one of the busiest times in the restaurant business. If you are looking to escape the kitchen tonight before the madness tomorrow, why not go to one of the many great restaurants in Cleveland? Take a look at this article from The Cleveland Plain Dealer for some of the best restaurants Cleveland has to offer:

Talk about a smorgasbord. Talk about an embarrassment of riches.

We're talking about Cleveland's burgeoning dining scene, of course. Just consider the impressive array of talent on display here. Few cities of our size can boast the creativity, diversity and quality of dining options that Northeast Ohio can. No wonder more and more travel, business, food and dining coverage around the United States points a spotlight in our direction.

The Plain Dealer's compilation of 100 A-List restaurants for 2011 is a mere snapshot of all that's going on here. This year's installment includes more than 20 restaurants new to the list -- a reflection of the dynamic nature of this region's dining scene. A half-dozen 2010 honorees have closed since the publication.

Of course, narrowing just 100 places from scores of notable area eateries can seem a fool's errand. For every name included, at least one other worthy restaurant -- more likely, two or three -- goes unmentioned.

We hope you'll find many of your favorites among these reviews. But we want to know what you think, too. You're invited to share thoughts on your favorite restaurants and why they're on your personal A-List in the comments section of any review in this online Northeast Ohio Dining Guide or via our "After You Eat, Tweet" page on Twitter at Twitter.com/CLErestaurants. You can also e-mail comments to [email protected], or write us at A-List, Friday magazine, The Plain Dealer, 1801 Superior Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114. Please be sure to include your name and city in email and written correspondence. We'll include reader comments on cleveland.com and in an upcoming issue of Friday magazine.
