The Cleveland Heights Patch is running a fantastic section showing viewers older photos of Cleveland Heights. Cleveland Heights is celebrating it's 90th birthday, and what's a better way then showing old photos of our wonderful neighborhood.
Cleveland Heights officially became a city in 1921. Cleveland Heights Patch is observing that 90th anniversary by compiling 90 photos to create an album of the city's past and present. We'll run the feature for 90 days, one photo at a time.
Ice skating in Cleveland Heights wasn't always an indoor activity. Cumberland Park used to have its own rink, too. This particular photo is from the 1960s.
Nowadays, skaters head to the Community Center, which features open public skating and lessons for beginners. But we would like to know more about skating at Cumberland Park, so we're soliciting memories. Please share them in our comments section below.
