Who doesn't like something that's free? Especially if it's something exciting and you can do with the entire family. If you have family or friends coming into our great city and already have done the usual "Cleveland" stuff, then take a look at some of these other alternatives:
The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes - Located in the eastern suburb of Shaker Heights the Nature Center offers two beautiful trails to hike and take in the sights and sounds of nature. Additional information can be found at www.shakerlakes.org.
Cleveland Metropark Zoo - Free to Cuyahoga County residents on Mondays. You will need to bring a form of identification - driver's license, utility bill, etc showing you are a Cuyahoga County resident. Parking is also free.
Metroparks - Bike, stroll or jog the trails of Cleveland's Metropark system. Visit Squires Castle in the North Chagrin Reservation, take the kids and dog wading in the Chagrin River or picnic and play in one of the many grassy areas along the trails. Check out their website: www.clemetparks.com for additional information.
