Sniffles, sore throat, cough, stuffy nose and aching muscles, could be signs of the cold or flu, or your body just telling you to take it easy for a while. The best way to do this is to take some time away from the stress of work (or school) and take a day to let your body recover. Aside from taking multiple naps and eating plenty of chicken noodle soup, there are some low-intensity jobs and fix-ups you can do around the house. Activities such as taking a bath can be very helpful for aching muscles and helps loosen any sinus congestion. You can also use this time to do something you've been putting off or have been meaning to get back to, such as picking up that novel you've been meaning to finish (which, for me, sometimes puts me into sleep mode, and a nap can do wonders for reviving your body), or make a big pot of soup. Eating soup when you're sick isn't just an old wives tale, soups relieves dehydration and reduces congestion. For more tips on sick-day activities check out this article from Houzz.
