"I finally got the bathroom of my dreams. JT, Marco and Mike are to be commended for their great work. My husband and I were impressed by the quality of their work. They were professional in conduct and neat. As for Dave, he is our guy. We have the utmost trust in what he says because he is honest."

  • Considering Adding An Addition To Your Home?

Are you thinking about extending the family room out toward the backyard? Wish the master bedroom was the biggest room in the house? Looking for Cleveland contractors? If you're thinking about adding an addition, read this article from Roxanne Washington of The Plain Dealer, and be sure to contact Reilly Painting for all your home repair needs:

Whether it's because a baby is born, an in-law moves in or someone needs an office, a family can outgrow its dwelling. When that happens, "home sweet home" can become a cramped and uncomfortable environment.

Buying a bigger house is an option, but it's not the only one. In fact, sometimes it's not even the preferred option. If the neighborhood offers quality schools, satisfactory city services and a comfortable, safe lifestyle, the homeowner might not want to move.

So, what to do? Add another room, several rooms, or even a entire floor? In some cases, yes, according to remodelers and architects. In other cases, no.

"Some people just need help arranging the way that they occupy their space to make better use of it rather than adding a room or rooms," says David H. Ellison, an architect who is a member of the American Institute of Architects. His firm, the D.H. Ellison Co., is located in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood.

"They might have a formal room that they don't use," Ellison says. "Some homes, particularly older homes in suburbs such as Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights, are not conducive to modern living. In some instances, the kitchens are very small and were only intended for the hired help. But people don't live like that anymore. People like to spend time in their kitchen area with the kids doing homework, watching television, that sort of thing."
