"I am writing to compliment your employees on a job well done. Bob was very responsive in returning phone calls from the initial contact we made to get preliminary estimates to finish our basement. The foreman was at our house almost every day for two-and-a-half weeks. His work was excellent. He finished everything on or ahead of schedule, left all of the work areas clean, and finished all of the small details to complete the job entirely. Due to the timeliness and quality of their work, we were able to enjoy our finished basement prior to the Thanksgiving holiday as promised."

It's something we may not think about too often, but really should. Oftentimes we send our young kids out to mow the lawn. We want to teach them to be responsible after all. But maybe we don't take the time to teach them how to safely do their chores. The following article will give you some great tips on how to safely mow the lawn, even with kids. And if you're feeling overwhelmed, call Your Home Mechanics. We'll come out and do your landscaping so you don't have to worry about a thing.

Children’s Hospital experts and the American Academy of Pediatrics offer these lawn mower safety tips:

    1. Never let a child ride as a passenger on a riding lawn mower while it is in use.

    2. Never let a child play on a lawn mower.

    3. Make sure children are indoors or a safe distance well away from the area you plan to mow.

    4. Teach children that lawn mowers are dangerous. If young children are unafraid to approach a lawn mower, they may run right up to the person mowing. Many children are backed over when the lawn mower operator doesn’t realize the child is nearby.
