Fortunately I just found out from the Shaker Heights housing inspector that everything passed inspection and that all of the violations have been successfully corrected. David did an excellent job in coordinating and assuring high-quality work on all of the many projects that were done here. We will definitely use Reilly Painting again in the future for other projects.

  • A Quick Word From The CEO: Mike Reilly Gives You His Tips for Staying Cool

    [caption id="attachment_7024" align="alignleft" width="135" caption="Reilly Painting CEO Mike Reilly"][/caption]

Reilly Painting owner Mike Reilly breaks down his cooling tips for the beating the heat this summer:

    Get Central Air.
Ok, now that you have that, add these helpful tricks.

    1. Overhead fan set for counter clockwise.  If you feel the breeze, then the fan is moving in the right direction, meaning that it's pushing the cool air down, and letting the hot air rise.
    2. Get a box fan and set it behind the floor register to push the cool air toward the area you are sitting.
    3. Take a cold bath, and I mean all cold water.   Take it in the middle of the day.  Make sure your head and neck get underwater.  Believe me, after two minutes submerged, your blood pressure is cooling down.  Paul Newman was known to go down to the cold creek behind his Conn. home for cold baths periodically.  Good for the skin as well.  If you don't like it that way..... then simply take a hose or cold water and run it on the back of your neck. Or just dunk your head into cold water.
    4. Iced coffee instead of regular coffee.
    5. How about cool salads and cold soup.  Get it at any upscale grocery store.

Now that global warming is here...Cleveland is the new North Carolina. We have to adapt to the warmer climes.

Check back in weekly for more tips from Mike Reilly.
